Bonnie Buckner, PhD

Bonnie Buckner, PhD is the founder and Executive Director of the International Institute for Dreaming and Imagery®. The Institute uses dreaming, imagery, and the spontaneous imagination as tools for transformation, leadership, creativity, personal development, and for finding solutions to social and global challenges.

The Institute works with individuals and organizations, and provides programming for the George Washington University's Center for Excellence in Public Leadership's eCo Leadership Coaching Certification program, where Bonnie serves as Co-Faculty Director. Bonnie also serves as an Executive Coach and Senior Fellow for the Center.

Bonnie holds a PhD in psychology, with an emphasis in media, from Fielding Graduate University, where she also formerly served as adjunct lecturer in their Media Psychology degree program. She is a PCC-level ICF credentialed coach. Bonnie has spoken internationally on various topics including creativity, imagination, cognition, and role of images in media and society.

The dreamwork Bonnie teaches at the Institute originates from a 13th century Kabbalistic approach, taught to modern audiences by the late Madame Colette Aboulker-Muscat (1909 – 2003).  Bonnie studied this work from Dr. Catherine Shainberg, a direct student of Colette, at the School of Images in New York.
